CNY Psychologists: Get connected!
CNYPA provides support and information to local professional psychologists about changes and challenges to clinical practice in a rapidly shifting health care environment. Our email listserv is our primary means of communication, and we regularly post information and discuss topics such as telepsychology, licensing requirements across state lines, and current legislation affecting our profession. Together we work to keep providers up to date on current guidelines for practice. Our listserv also provides a collegial and supportive community as we continue to cope with the stresses of being health care providers during the Covid-19 pandemic. If you are a psychologist in Central New York and would like to connect to other psychologists for information sharing and support, we strongly encourage you to join CNYPA. We can then add you to our listserv.
Central New York Psychological Association
Welcome to the Central New York Psychological Association's website. CNYPA is a professional association for psychologists in the central New York area including the greater Syracuse area. For professionals, CNYPA provides opportunities to connect with other psychologists, to support the professional and ethical practice of psychology, to link researchers, educators, and clinicians, and to provide expertise regarding pressing mental health issues to the community. CNYPA also offers educational opportunities to support professional development.
For the community, CNYPA serves as a resource to obtain information about local practicing psychologists and their areas of specialty. Individuals can search our member database by location, age-range, type of therapy, and interest areas. In the section, "For the Community," you can learn more about the psychologist's role and training in treating mental illness, as well as information and links to useful websites about common psychological disorders.
