Dr. Tyrrell-Baker's research was recently published in the journal Neuroregulation and she will be presenting these results as well as other information about this promising treatment.

Meet the Presenter

About Christine Tyrrell Baker, PhD

Dr. Tyrrell Baker received her doctorate in clinical psychology in 1998 from University of Delaware and completed her psychology internship at Upstate Medical University. Dr. Tyrrell Baker worked in community mental health settings at both St. Joseph’s Hospital and Onondaga Case Management Services, INC (now Circare) for 15 years. She championed the implementation of both Evidence Based Practices and Person Centered Care towards improving quality of care for persons with serious mental illness. She has provided countless workshops on these topics in both Central and Western NY.

For the last 10 years, Dr. Tyrrell Baker has been in private practice in the Fayetteville Manlius area. She has intensive training in DBT, Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and pIR HEG Neurofeedback. Dr. Tyrrell Baker’s overall approach is Integrative Psychology which considers humanity from a perspective of wholeness, health, and systems and combines groundbreaking science with traditional understandings of human growth, development, change, and adjustment over the lifespan. Her current focus is incorporating Neurofeedback into psychotherapy for enhanced outcomes. Her model is called the Stress Regulation and Learning Modelã and that data she has collected was recently published in the Neuro Regulation journal.

  • The price for dinner and the talk is: $40 for CNYPA members, $50 for non-members and $20 for students and interns. The costs are partially subsidized by your membership dues. This is just one of the ways our organization seeks to meet the needs of our members by providing quality programming at a local venue.
